Community Prayer Vigil November 2!

There will be a Community Prayer Vigil Friday, November 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rifkin Campus at 5200 Old Mill Road in Fort Wayne. The event will offer prayers for Shalom, Peace, for our brothers and sisters in Pittsburgh and for our country. Join us in support of the Tree of Live Synagogue and the Pittsburgh Jewish community in the aftermath of the horrific attack that took place last week. We will mourn together, lift our voices in prayer and song, and reaffirm life with hope and faith. Please plan on following security officers’ directions to help everyone safely park and enter the building. To watch a livestream of the event, visit the Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne (JFFW)'s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/JewishFortWayne/ This event is coordinated by the Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne, Congregation Achduth Vesholom and Congregation B'nai Jacob.

Our Judaica gift shop is Fort Wayne's one and only. Come and browse the beautiful selection of mezuzot; tallitot; Shabbat candles and candlesticks; yahrzeit candles; Challah covers and cutting boards; washing cups; seder plates; matzah covers; toys; games; greeting cards; and gifts for all occasions.

Proceeds from gift shop sales assist with our Kiddushim.  Thank you so much for your support. Cash and checks accepted.  Open during office hours - normally Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. Tel: 260-672-8459

Kosher Around Town

Aldi's on Lima Road carries packaged crescent rolls, biscuits and pie crusts that are heckshered (marked Kosher). Very exciting news since no other store has the same items available for the Kosher consumer.

The new Fresh Thyme Farmer's Market on Coldwater at Coliseum has a nice selection of heckshered cakes, prepared foods and cheeses for the Kosher consumer as well.

Earth Fare on Dupont Road has kosher turkey during the holidays and can special order other meats.  Call Shawn, the meat manager, at 260-416-3550 for more information.

The Kroger Marketplace at Coventry no longer has Kosher meat. Kroger does carry small containers of Pareve coffee whitener (Rich's) in the frozen food section.

Gordon's Food Service on Washington Center Road carries Pareve whip topping (Rich's) in the frozen food section.  GFS also carries red and green food containers from Cambro with blue available by order.  These containers can be used, according to color, for kosher purposes of separating meat, milk, and Pareve products.

Please support all of these stores in their efforts to help the Jewish community of Fort Wayne.
